Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Hunjo("Hunjo", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the Hunjo website, dashboard, and Chrome extension.

By using Hunjo, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide our services.

Account Information

When you sign in, we collect information such as:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Google authentication identifiers

Profile Information

We store the information you choose to provide for job applications, including:

  • Contact information
  • Work authorization responses
  • Employment history
  • Education
  • Portfolio and social links
  • Skills
  • Other application answers stored in your Hunjo profile

Resume Files

If you upload a resume, we securely store it so it can be attached to job applications when you choose to use autofill.

Application Metadata

To provide autofill and application tracking, we may store information such as:

  • Job URLs
  • Company names
  • Job titles
  • Autofill mapping results
  • Application status and related metadata

Extension Session Information

To keep you signed in, the Chrome extension stores a dedicated extension refresh token and limited account identifiers in Chrome's local extension storage.

How the Chrome Extension Works

The Hunjo Chrome extension operates only to assist you with job applications.

When you activate autofill:

  • The extension reads the structure of the job application form on the current page.
  • Form labels, field names, input types, and related metadata may be securely transmitted to Hunjo's servers to generate appropriate autofill values.
  • The extension fills application fields locally in your browser.
  • You review all filled information before deciding whether to submit the application.

When a job application includes a resume upload field, the extension securely downloads your stored resume from Hunjo over HTTPS and attaches it to the employer's upload control.

Hunjo does not automatically submit applications. You remain in control and must review and submit each application yourself.

Why We Request Broad Website Access

The Chrome extension requests access to websites (https://*/*) in order to function across a wide range of modern Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), including platforms such as Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and Rippling, which are often embedded within company career pages.

Restricting the extension to a predefined list of domains would prevent it from functioning on many legitimate employer career pages.

The extension activates only on supported job application pages and performs no actions on unrelated websites.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide job application autofill
  • Store and manage your profile
  • Authenticate your account
  • Maintain your extension session
  • Track your job applications
  • Improve autofill accuracy and product reliability
  • Respond to customer support requests
  • Maintain the security and integrity of our services

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only when necessary to provide the Hunjo service, including:

  • AI service providers that generate autofill mappings
  • Cloud infrastructure providers that securely host our services
  • Prospective employers only when you choose to autofill information into their application forms

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the security and integrity of our services.

Data Retention

We retain your account information, profile data, application history, and uploaded resumes until:

  • you delete them,
  • you delete your account, or
  • you request that we delete your information.

Extension session data stored in your browser is removed when you sign out or uninstall the extension.

Storage and Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted HTTPS communication, to help protect your information.

Access tokens used by the extension are kept in memory whenever possible. Extension refresh credentials are stored securely in Chrome's extension storage.

Although we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

You may:

  • Update your profile information through the Hunjo dashboard.
  • Replace or delete uploaded resumes.
  • Sign out of the Chrome extension at any time.
  • Uninstall the Chrome extension through Chrome's extension settings.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

Hunjo is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
